Triangular biorthogonal wavelets with extended lifting (English)
0 references
The classical two dimensional wavelets lack the directional property. To overcome that shortcoming, curvelets and shearlets are usually introduced. This paper provides another method for constructing a family of triangular biorthogonal wavelets by adding a new operation called ``twist''. It turns out that several nice properties are inherited. The authors apply their wavelets to the extraction of some image edges as well.
