Let \(A,B\) be bounded linear operators in a complex separable Hilbert space. It is well-known that \(AB=BA\implies e^Ae^B=e^{A+B}\). Some new conditions for normal operators \(A,B\) under which the reverse implication holds are given in this paper. This is a continuation of the research presented in [the second author, Colloq. Math. 125, No. 1, 1--6 (2011; Zbl 1259.47002)].
