Robust DPG method for convection-dominated diffusion problems (English)

The discontinuous Petrov-Galerkin (DPG) method is proposed for convection-dominated diffusion problems. The proposed method is analyzed. Robust \(L^2\) error estimates are provided. The test functions for the Petrov-Galerkin method are constructed by a variational formulation. The stability analysis of the adjoint problem is studied. The robustness of the method is supported by numerical experiments.
