Fixed point theorems for a class of nonlinear operators in Riesz spaces (English)

The authors consider fixed point theorems on Riesz spaces. They are analogous to the contraction mapping theorem (which holds in metric spaces), but all the hypotheses are given in terms of the underlying ordered structure. The main result is applied to some example and it is shown that a direct application of the contraction mapping theorem is not possible.
