Common coupled fixed point results for hybrid nonlinear contractions in metric spaces (English)

Considering ordered metric spaces, some new results on coupled fixed points have been obtained in recent years (see, e.g. [\textit{V. Birende}, Nonlinear Anal., Theory Methods Appl., Ser. A, Theory Methods 74, No. 18, 7347--7355 (2011; Zbl 1235.54024)]). The authors mainly focus here on a binary mapping and a one-variable mapping satisfying some hybrid nonlinear contraction in usual metric spaces without order. Several new common coupled fixed point results are obtained. Some error estimates for iterations to approximate a fixed point are given.
