Dynamics of the Budyko energy balance model (English)

A so-called Budyko-type model, a dynamical system derived from a conceptual climate model, is studied. The model captures new properties (the ice line dynamics) of the phenomenon under study. The classical Budyko EBM is represented here as an integro-difference equation. The resulting infinite-dimensional system is shown to possess an attracting one-dimensional invariant manifold.
