This volume is dedicated to Gunnar Kangro (1913--1975), who was one of the most famous Estonian mathematicians, and appeared on the occasion of Kangro's 100th anniversary. It collects, among other contributions, an interview with G. Kangro that appeared first in 1975, two biographical pieces by K. Kaarli, recollections by family members and former students, a list of Kangro's students and a long article by T.~Leiger on the mathematics of Kangro who was a specialist in summability theory and indeed the founder of the Tartu school of summability theory.
