Moduli of products of stable varieties (Q2873598)

The authors study the moduli spaces of products of stable varieties over \(\mathbb C\) (as defined via the minimal model program). The main result is that there is a well-defined morphism from the product of moduli spaces of stable varieties to the moduli space of a product of stable varieties which is always finite étale and often an isomorphism. This generalizes the results obtained in dimension 1 by \textit{M. A. van Opstall} [Arch. Math. 84, No. 2, 148--154 (2005; Zbl 1064.14033)] and [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 134, No. 10, 2801--2806 (2006; Zbl 1098.14024)].
