The interface control domain decomposition (ICDD) method for elliptic problems (English)
0 references
The authors are concerned with an overlapping domain decomposition method with interface conditions in order to solve some linear elliptic boundary value problems. They provide two multidomain formulations of the generic problem and prove their equivalence. Then, based on these formulations they introduce the ICDD methods. These methods come out from some minimization problems which are proved to be well-posed. The optimality systems on which the practical implementation of the methods is based are also analyzed. Some extensions of ICDD along with three test problems are eventually carried out.
