On the ``large Gaussian triangle'' Hohehagen-Brocken-Inselberg (English)

In order to commemorate the triangulation of the kingdom of Hannover by Gauß and various collaborators, a memorial stone was placed on the mountain Hohehagen; it was later inserted into the wall of the Gauss tower, but got lost when the tower collapsed in 1961. Using measurements via GPS the author determines the coordinates of the main points of Gauss's triangles, and in particular his point on the Hohehagen. It is intended to place a commemorative plaque there. The article also addresses connections with non-Euclidean geometry and the curvature of space.
