Malfatti's problem on the hyperbolic plane (English)

This paper is on a construction problem of planar geometry. Malfatti's problem is a famous construction problem: For a given triangle in a plane, construct three circles such that they are inside of the triangle and they touch two edges of the triangle and such that they touch mutually from outside. In the beginning of the 19th century, Malfatti solved this problem and later Steiner proposed a smart construction. In this paper, the author introduces the history of Malfatti's problem and shows some extension in the hyperbolic plane. NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe reviewer enjoys the construction problems which seem to be completely forgotten in pure mathematics.
