This is a short paper about the works (mostly in architecture) of three men, well-known in Spain in the 18th century. T. Ardemans worked in Madrid, B. Bails introduced infinitesimal calculus in Spain, and R. de Pignatelli worked in Aragon.NEWLINENEWLINE The three men had substancial influence in the communities in Spain; this paper is devoted to it. Concerning mathematics, only B. Bails wrote substantially on it. The title is perhaps a little bit misleading, as these men were more politicians and architects (B. Bails excepted) than mathematicians.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 1287.00022].
