The \(\tau_{2}\) model and parafermions (English)

\textit{P. Fendley} [ibid. 47, No. 7, Article ID 075001, 42 p. (2014; Zbl 1291.82022)] developed a `parafermionic' way to diagonalize a simple solvable Hamiltonian associated with the chiral Potts model. In the paper under review the author indicates how Fendley's method can be generalized from the simple Hamiltonian to the more general Hamiltonian, and to the corresponding \(\tau_2\) model with open boundaries.
