Differential geometric analysis of radiation-particle interaction (English)

Orbits of charged particle motion in a radiation electromagnetic field are analyzed by a differential geometry approach with curvature parametrized by the radiation intensity and frequency. Such a reformulation of the problem reveals new features related to the integrability of the considered particle motion, orbit stability characteristics including parametric instabilities, and oscillatory particle motion in a sufficiently low impulsive electromagnetic field.
