Topological dynamics. Minimality, entropy and chaos. (English)
0 references
The book is dedicated to the analysis of one of the modern trends of the theory of dynamical systems, topological dynamic, that, in particular, study the dynamics of continuous maps of compact topological (usually metric) spaces into themselves. The monograph deals with several interrelated areas of topological dynamics: low dimensional dynamics, minimal dynamical systems, topological entropy, and chaos theory. Although only discrete dynamical systems are investigated, the results can be transferred to continuous dynamical systems (streams) or more abstract dynamical systems (group or semigroup actions).
