This book is written in the same style as the author's earlier books, see e.g. [Limit velocities and their paradoxes. Lattices, ether, relativity. Teubner-Texte zur Physik. 31. Leipzig: B. G. Teubner (1996; Zbl 0917.00007); Start giving to relativity theory. A new approach to Einstein's world. With a contribution to the literature to the relativity theory by B. G. Teubner. Stuttgart: Teubner (2004; Zbl 1056.83001); EAGLE-Guide. Space and time -- relativity. EAGLE 22. Leipzig: Edition am Gutenbergplatz Leipzig (EAGLE) (2005; Zbl 1147.83003)]. It is an introduction to theoretical physics on a level between school courses and university lectures. It starts with Newtonian mechanics and special relativity. Then the Maxwell electrodynamics, quantum mechanics, and gravitation are introduced. The appendix represents an introduction to tensor calculus, presents the Lorentz group, and gives formulas for relativistic quantum mechanics. Spinors are introduced, too.
