The book is devoted to elementary inequalities: basically, the harmonic-geometric-arithmetic means, Cauchy, Hölder and Minkowski inequalities. Detailed proofs are presented, together with ramifications, applications, and various exercises (for which hints and solutions are provided in the final chapter). Each item is well motivated and illustrated by examples. An appealing feature of the book is the presentation of several proofs for the same inequality, some of them very old and some very recent. The book will be useful both for beginners and for the experts.
