A synthetic radar imaging technique is introduced to improve the target image resolution and estimates of target motion by a radar antenna mounted on a flying platform. The procedure is based on the segmentation of data into small apertures, their individual processing, and their final assemblage into a high resolution image. Numerical simulations illustrate the validity and advantages of the applied method.
