A large number of papers on linear recurrence sequences and determinants have recently been published. The present authors construct two infinite-dimensional matrices whose entries are elements of nonhomogeneous recurrence sequences, and show that the sequence of their principal minors forms the Lucas sequence. They also pose as an open problem whether there is an infinite number of such matrices.
