Gorenstein projective and flat complexes over Noetherian rings (English)

The paper belongs to the area of Gorenstein homological algebra concerned with the existence of Gorenstein projective, injective, and flat (pre)covers and/or (pre)envelopes. More precisely, these questions are investigated for categories of complexes. In particular, the authors show that the class of Gorenstein flat complexes over two-sided noetherian rings with an additional property that the class of Gorenstein flat modules is closed under direct products, is covering. For commutative noetherian rings with dualizing complexes, they show that every complex bounded on the right has a Gorenstein projective precover. The concise introduction to the paper is very well written and is recommended to any reader befuddled by the term ``Gorenstein homological algebra''.
