This paper considers a model problem for the linear equations of ion-sound waves in plasma occupying a bounded domain where the boundary is a smooth manifold. It is supposed that the boundary carries nonlinear sources localized on some part of the boundary. The main objective of the paper is to derive sufficient conditions for the blow-up of the weak generalized solution of the governing system of equations using the energy method.
