Intuitionistic fuzzy sets -- two and three term representations in the context of a Hausdorff distance (English)

Over the intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs) different distances were defined during last 20 years. The authors of the recent paper have introduced some of them. In the present paper, the basic distances over IFSs are discussed and illustrated. Special attention is paid to the consistency of the metric used and the essence of the Hausdorff distances between two IFSs. The same problem is discussed for the interval-valued fuzzy sets (IVFSs), too. It is shown that the essence of the solutions obtained is different for the cases of IFSs and IVFSs.
