In previous work [Fundam. Math. 190, 1--10 (2006; Zbl 1090.05020)] the author gave necessary conditions for a spatial graph to be periodic with a prime period, using the Yamada skein algebra of the solid torus. The Yamada polynomial is an invariant of spatial graphs introduced in [\textit{S. Yamada}, J. Graph Theory 13, No. 5, 537--551 (1989; Zbl 0682.57003)]. In the present paper the author computes the Yamada skein algebra of the punctured disk with two holes, and uses the result to give improved necessary conditions for the existence of symmetries of prime order.
