The article refers to a model of switched Hopfield neural networks with uncertainty and time varying delay. The passivity of the system is understood as defined by \textit{Z. Zhang, S. Mou, J. Lam} and \textit{H. Gao} [``New passivity criteria for neural networks with time-varying delays'', Neural Netw. 22, 864--868 (2009; \url{doi:10.1016/j.neunet.2009.05.012})]. A delay-dependent passivity condition for the considered model with interval time-varying delays is shown. Further, sufficient conditions for passivity for switched interval neural networks are obtained. At the end of the paper, numerical examples are presented.
