The authors, following the work of \textit{G. Das} and \textit{S. K. Sahoo} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 164, No. 2, 381--398 (1992; Zbl 0778.46011)], extend the results of this paper to double sequences. They introduce some double sequence spaces related to almost and strong almost convergence and characterize these spaces in terms of some sublinear functionals connected with Banach limits.
