The author studies the quantum cohomology of symmetric products of Kähler manifolds. This is done by studying the relationship between the Gromov-Witten invariants of the self-product \(M\) of the original manifold \(X\) and of the symmetric product \(M'\).NEWLINENEWLINEThe final result is that the quantum cohomology of \(M'\) is isomorphic to the invariant part of the quantum cohomology of \(M\), and the quantum cohomology of \(M\) is isomorphic to the self-tensor product of the quantum cohomology of \(X\).
