The paper under review is an attempt to prove, by citing multiple examples taken from \textit{De centro gravitatis solidorum} and from other works, that Luca Valerio's tendency to generalize definitions and results is a general feature of his mathematical work. The examples deal with convex figures, pyramids, centers of gravity, limits, the volume of the hemisphere, ratios, limits.
