Baroclinic Kelvin waves in a rotating circular basin (English)
0 references
The authors investigate the propagation of linear baroclinic Kelvin waves, along a coast having a circular shape in the presence of Earth's rotation. The article is motivated by the dynamically significant Coriolis forces in modeling of large-scale oceanic and atmospheric motions with many meteorological applications. The governing equations of the internal wave motion in the Boussinesq approximation is investigated by group analysis methods of nonlinear partial differential equations.
