The authors prove the intuitionistic fuzzy version of a theorem due to \textit{V. Pant} [Tamkang J. Math. 40, No. 1, 59--66 (2009; Zbl 1190.54035)] for two maps satisfying a condition of weak commutativity, without assuming either their continuity or the completeness of the space.
