The first eigenvalue of spacelike submanifolds in indefinite space form \(R^{n+p}_p\). (English)

In [\textit{B. Y. Wu}, Arch. Math., Brno 42, No. 3, 233--238 (2006; Zbl 1164.53373)] it was proved that for complete spacelike hypersurface \(M^{n}\) in \(\mathbb R^{n+1}_{1} \) whose Gauss map is bounded the first eigenvalue must be zero. In the paper this result is generalized for \(M^{n}\) in \(\mathbb R^{n+p}_{p} \).
