The authors combine molecular dynamics methods, which describe the interaction of atoms and nanoclusters (fast processes) and methods of continuum dynamics, which are used to describe the motion of particles in the temperature gradient field. A mathematical model of the gas-phase synthesis of metal nanoparticles is described by a system of partial differential equations, namely conservation of gas mixture momentum, mass conservation, heat conductivity and diffusion equations.
