The stabilization problem for magnetohydrodynamic equations of a viscid incompressible liquid is examined. The equilibrium magnetic field configuration can be exponentially stabilized by virtue of the control of the external currents. The stabilizing operator with feedback is bounded and has finite-dimensional control.
