Electric motor model in the theory of gyroscopes (English)

This paper addresses the issue of modeling the dynamics of an electric motor. A diagram of the driving torque is shown for an asynchronous electric motor. The torque of a synchronous motor is approximated by a linear relation with respect to the power angle and its time-derivative. An expression for the potential energy representing the interaction of magnetic fields is obtained in the paper. In conclusion, the authors discuss the problem of stability of uniform rotations of the rotor for a synchronous motor. To maintain the rotor rotation, electric motors of synchronous or asynchronous type are used in gyroscopic instruments. Forces acting on the rotor from the stator form a summary moment \(L\), which is equal to the algebraic sum of the motor torque and the dissipative torque. This moment formation mechanism is described in the paper for both types of motors, and nonlinear properties of this moment are analyzed.
