This paper deals with following problem NEWLINE\[NEWLINEu_{i,tt}-\Delta u_i=f_i, \text{ in } \Omega_i,\;i=1,2;NEWLINE\]NEWLINE NEWLINE\[NEWLINEu_i=0,\text{ on }S_i,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE NEWLINE\[NEWLINEu_1=u_2,\;u_{1,n}-u_{2,n}+u_1+\alpha u_{1,t}=\psi,\text{ on } \Gamma,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(S_i=\Omega_i\setminus \Gamma\), \(S=\partial\Omega_1\cap\partial\Omega_2\). The author also considers the corresponding abstract problem and the generalization of this problem in the form of a multicomponent transmission problem with surface dissipation of energy.
