Statical problem for a system with liquid and barotropic gas under conditions close to the weightlessness (English)

In this paper, a mechanical system consisting of a barotropic gas and incompressible liquid in a tank is considered. The author assumes that the system is subject to gravitational or inertial forces due to uniformly accelerated motion of the tank. The problem of defining the contact surface between the liquid and gas is set up. Two approaches are applied for solving this problem. The first approach deals with conditions of hydrostatics and the second one is based on the principle of stationary value of total potential energy. In the axial symmetry case, the contact surface is modeled by a boundary value problem for two second-order ordinary differential equations. Asymptotical representations of the solution of such boundary value problem are constructed and some simulation results are presented.
