On the structure of the automorphism group of a minimal nonabelian \(p\)-group (metacyclic case). (English)

This paper is a continuation of the research begun in the author's paper [Arch. Math. 93, No. 2, 99-109 (2009; Zbl 1181.20025)]. The aim is to complete the description of the automorphism group of a minimal nonabelian metacyclic 2-group. To achieve this aim, certain subgroups of the automorphism group defined by \textit{F. Zhou} and \textit{H. Liu} [Arch. Math. 91, No. 3, 193-198 (2008; Zbl 1178.20022)] are examined, and results concerning crossed homomorphisms from the author's above-cited paper are extended.
