Scattering analysis of periodic structures using finite-difference time-domain method. (English)
0 references
This booklet is intended for graduate students, researchers and engineers who are interested in the simulation and design of periodic electromagnetic structures. It develops efficient computational algorithms to analyze the scattering properties of such structures using the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method in the case of periodic boundary conditions (PBC). In particular, a new FDTD/PBC-based algorithm is introduced to analyze general skewed grid structures, while another algorithm is developed for dispersive periodic structures. These methods are validated through numerical test examples.NEWLINENEWLINEThe book consists of the following chapters: 1) Introduction, 2) FDTD method and periodic boundary conditions, 3) Skewed grid periodic structures, 4) Dispersive periodic structures, 5) Multilayered periodic structures, 6) Conclusions.
