    The authors are concerned with discrete maximum principles for \(P_1\)-conforming finite element approximations applied to some quasi-linear second order elliptic equations. The existence of discrete maximum principles essentially depends on some geometrical properties, i.e., angle conditions, associated to the triangulation of the problem domain.
