The main result of the paper is a local representation for Laguerre minimal surfaces in terms of holomorphic data that come from bringing together the classical theory of line congruences and the complex geometry associated to the space of oriented lines in the Euclidean three space, which is identified with the tangent bundle of the unit sphere \(TS\).
