    An algebraic proof is given for two identities found in 2009 by \textit{L. G. Fel} [``New identities for degrees of syzygies in numerical semigroups'', \url{arXiv:0912.5192}] involving Betti numbers of the semigroup algebra \(K[[t^s:s\in S]]\), where \(S\) is a numerical semigroup.
