Syndetic sequences and dynamics of operators (Q2904296)

In the main result of the paper, the author shows that a continuous linear operator on a Fréchet space which satisfies the hypercyclicity criterion with respect to a syndetic sequence satisfies also the Kitai criterion. He further proves that hereditarily hypercyclic operators with respect to a syndetic sequence are mixing. Moreover, he shows that each non-syndetic sequence induces a non-mixing unilateral weighted shift on the sequence space \(l^1\) which satisfies the hypercyclicity criterion but not Kitai's criterion.
