Let \(A\) be a non-empty finite set and \(X=A^\mathbb{N}\) be an unilateral symbolic space with the shift operator \(\triangleleft :X \rightarrow X\), defined by \(\triangleleft (x_0, x_1, x_2,\dots)=(x_1, x_2,\dots)\).NEWLINENEWLINEDenote by \(\mathcal{M} (X)\) the set of all signed Borelian measures on \(X\).NEWLINENEWLINEThe set of \(\triangleleft\)-invariant measures in \(\mathcal{M}\) is denoted as \(\mathcal{M}_{\triangleleft} (X)\). Similarly one defines the sets \(\mathcal{M}^{(1)}_{\triangleleft} (X), \mathcal{M}^{+}_{\triangleleft} (X), \mathcal{M}^{1}_{\triangleleft} (X)\).NEWLINENEWLINEThe objective of this article is, essentially, to construct a distance on \(\mathcal{M}^{1}_{\triangleleft} (X)\) which is ``natural'' from the dynamical point of view, in particular by its topology and its ``good behavior''.
