The author gives some analogues of certain uncertainty principles in the setting of solvable Lie groups. Some sharpness problems are also treated. The Kirillov theory and the Plancherel theory turn out to be an important ingredient in the proof of such analogues. Some other Lie group cases are also discussed, i.e., diamond groups and universal coverings of Euclidean motion groups.
