The authors call a sequence of operators a \(g\)-frame sequence if it is a \(g\)-frame in the related linear span. They study properties of standard operators (the analysis, synthesis and \(g\)-frame operators). Also, they consider a natural generalization of \(g\)-frames to a family of spaces (continuous \(g\)-frames, another name was used by \textit{X. Yao} and \textit{G. Gao} in [Far East J. Math. Sci. (FJMS) 53, No. 2, 183--191 (2011; Zbl 1259.42025)]) and study the sum of two such frames.
