Confinement strategies in a model for the interaction between individuals and a continuum (English)
0 references
The authors study the following differential inclusion: NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\dot x\in v(x,\zeta(t))+ B(0,c),\tag{1}NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(B(0,c)\) is the closed ball in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) centred at \(0\) and with radius \(c\). The main problem studied for the above inclusion can be formulated as follows: given an initial region \(A\) contained in \(\mathbb{R}^n\) occupied by the population, a target set \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\), and a time \(I\); find a strategy \(\zeta= \zeta(t)\) of the individuals so that the reachable set \(A_\zeta(t)\) (of (1)) is near or lies inside \(K\) for all \(t\in I\).
