Levitin-Polyak well-posedness of the minimization problem for integral functionals (English)

The minimization of integral functionals under pointwise constraints is considered. The author proves that if such an optimization problem is Levitin-Polyak well-posed, then the same is true for the optimization problems for the integrand function. The converse holds under stronger conditions. This extends previous results of the reviewer [J. Optimization Theory Appl. 31, No. 3, 417--430 (1980; Zbl 0417.49012)].
