A regularized correction method for elliptic problems with a singular force (English)
0 references
The author considers elliptic problems in a two dimensional domain with the source term given by a Dirac delta distribution on a closed curve inside the domain. He develops a regularization method with a better accuracy for approximating the singular source term. The curve where the singular source is defined is approximated by polygons and the singular force term by using the integral of the fundamental solution over the polygon. Under certain assumptions on the curve, the second order convergence in the maximum norm is proved.
