Approximations in several variables with Freud-type and \(A_p\)-weights (English)

Direct (Jackson-type) and converse (Bernstein-Stechkin-type) theorems for polynomial approximations with Freud-type weights and trigonometric approximations with \(A_p\)-weights in the case of several variables are presented. The concept of weighted moduli for Freud-type weights is extended to the case of several variables, and direct and converse multivariate approximation theorems are given using this kind of moduli. Direct and converse theorems for weighted trigonometric approximations in several variables with \(A_p\)-weights are elaborated.
