Numerical quenching for a reaction-diffusion system with coupled singular absorption terms (English)

The paper is interested in numerical approximation of a reaction-diffusion system of two partial differential equations with singular absorption terms. The positive Dirichlet boundary conditions are considered. The main attention is paid to the investigation of simultaneous and non-simultaneous quenching including also the convergence of the quenching set and the quenching rate. Numerical results of several experiments are shown.
