This work may be of interest to graduate students and researchers in theoretical physics and mathematics. The paper summarizes six previous publications by the authors, published 2012 and 2013. It first refers to Kerner's concept of ternary algebra, ternary Clifford analysis, ternary Dirac-like operator and a corresponding Klein-Gordon-like operator. Then it reviews binary and ternary noncommutative Galois extensions, especially for the cubic and nonion algebras. A generation scheme for the total nonion algebra is explained. Next, a ternary Clifford algebra for the nonion algebra is developed, complete with Dirac-like and Klein-Gordon-like operators. Then, a nonion algebra construction of a ternary Galois extension is explained. The Galois extension of \(su(3)\) is discussed and related to Clifford analysis via Dirac-like operators, exhibiting a duality between binary and ternary Dirac-like operators. Finally, an application to elementary particles (quarks and color) is undertaken.
